Description
Cw (Rh8) is a relatively low frequency antigen within the Rh blood group system, with an occurrence of about 2.6% in most European and white American populations. The incidence of the Cw antigen is higher in Latvians, Lapps and Finns (7-9%). The Cw antigen occurs most often with a DCe gene complex, and the associated C antigen is weaker than normal.
